Sujanthinee Mageswaran was born in the village Urumparai (Jaffna, Sri Lanka), where she was exposed to Bharatanatyam from the tender age of four and a half, immediately fascinated with its aesthetics. Initially, she used to watch the dance lessons administered by her neighbour, Pathmini Selventhirkumar (Kalaikovil Dance School), until later on, she studied under her. From thereon, Sujanthinee Mageswaran had begun her Bharatanatyam career as a student, completing higher achievements under the tutelage and aid of her Guru.
Previously, Sujanthinee Mageswaran has won many accolades for both her solo and group Bharathanatyam performances, whether that was through her participation in the schools she continued her education in, or privately through her Guru and parents. For example, she participated in the many Bharathanatyam events hosted by her secondary school - Jaffna Vembadi Girls High School.
Sujanthinee Mageswaran first became a Bharatanatyam teacher back in 1997; she led her previous students to many different public perfomances at Kingston International College, St. Thomas College, Saiva Mangaiyar Kazhagam, and Nruthyakshetra Dancing School.
After moving to London, England, Sujanthinee Mageswaran faced a bump in her Bharatanatyam teaching career, not being able to continue it for almost ten years, until she founded Aradhana School of Dancing on 9th March 2011.
